This summer Respect World Music festival 2009 will take place in Prague. The festival will present to musical gourmets a motley mix of melodies and rhythms from all countries of the world, combining the checked up quality with absolutely new tendencies in world musical currents.
The basic program of Festival will pass on Friday, on June, 26th, and Saturday, on June, 27th, in territory of the Prague island Shtvanitse.
Such stars as Indian project Benares (India - Switzerland), born in hooting chaos of Calcutta and eternal magic of Benares , and one of the legendaries African groups of our time - Kasai All Stars from Congo, have already agreed to take part in the festival.
Last year African musicians could not visit Festival, therefore they are so much expected this year.
Of course, the festival will treat its guests with tea rooms, cafe with an exotic cuisine, CD booths and many other services.
The basic program of Festival concerts will pass on May, 12th, and on June, 2nd, 2009.
As tourist agencies inform, from May, 29, till May, 31st, the three-day gastronomic festival, which will collect the best cooks and manufacturers of drinks of the country will take place in Prague. In particular, visitors of a holiday can try local delicacies and exotic dishes from 30 best restaurants of Czech Republic. And gourmets will please dishes of the Brazilian, French, Japanese and Thai kitchens, culinary shows and wine tasting are planned.
Grammy awarded singer Pink will give a concert in Prague O2 Arena with a concert in support of fifth studio album Funhouse. Organizers are going to start preliminary sale of tickets in April; the price will make 850-1490 crones. 29-year-old Pink has gone to tour in the end of February. She has arranged her first concert in the French Nice, and now she expects even about 90 performances.
At her concerts the singer will sing such hits as: Highway to Hell, Just Like A Pill, Who Knew, Please Don’t Leave Me, U + Ur Hand, Bohemian Rhapsody and many other songs.

This year one of the largest musical actions in Czech Republic - festival Colors of Ostrava will held already for the eighth time. This time the festival will pass from July, 9 till July, 12th and again - in the green centre of Ostrava.
Mejseo Parker became the first star, who has confirmed his participation. This year visitors are expected to see a lot of surprises. For example, the joint project of the singer and guitarist Lenka Dusilova, clarnet quartet Clarinet Factory and pianist Beata Glavenkova. More than 100 foreign and Czech musicians will take part in the festival. Tickets at the price of 760 crones can be got till March, 31st; later the price will be higher.
Do you know that the majority of the Check castles do not have heating system? For this reason medieval palaces and fortresses close the doors in the winter.
